Board work
During my time with Advizer, I have,
as the other partners, been
prevented from participating in
board work, however, I definitely
have the wish... and I also believe
that I have the ability to contribute
in a wide range of contexts - therefore professional board work will be part
of my future business approach.
My qualifications cover a wide field,
and I will only participate in board
work where I can contribute
significantly, both in relation to
the company’s challenges and,
not least, for the benefit of the shareholders.
If a company is in a situation where
it considers acquisition, sale, merger
or capital increase; if it considers implementing significant structural
changes; maybe it considers new
markets, new relations or a different production setup - just to give a few examples - I definitely believe that I
can contribute with inspiration,
knowledge and network at an
overall level.
My approach to board work will also
depend on my own analysis; whether
I can contribute within the areas
where the company faces challenges.
This will be established through close dialogue and analysis in order to make
it clear, if a cooperation can be initiated.
Case
Currently, I have just returned from a business trip to China where I visited
a Danish-owned company,
subcontracting within iron and metal.
Today, the company manufactures
and supplies to the Asian market,
but would also like to get a wider
access to the European market,
possibly through acquisition.
By visiting the company at its own
platform and meeting with the
management as well as the ownership,
the basis for a mutual commitment and
the expectations to such cooperation
are quickly identified.
